Registered Private Round

If a club wants to host RPR rounds (Registered Private Round - formerly EDS Round), it must submit the relevant general conditions to the ÖGV.

PLAYING CONDITIONS FOR PRIVATE TOURNAMENTS

A "Registered Private Round - RPR" results in a handicap relevant score if the round is played as follows:

  • In a handicap-relevant form of play (see Rule 2.1a) over 9 or 18 holes.

  • In the company of a counter (in compliance with all other conditions for Rules of Golf)

  • According to the Official Rules of Golf (see Rule 2.1b)

  • On a golf course with a valid course and slope rating where the length and normal difficulty of play are maintained at a consistent level.

Registration must take place before the start of the round at the golf club where the round is played.

RPR rounds can only be played as a counting game in Austria. Each club can decide for itself whether its members can play RPR rounds. In principle, these can be played worldwide as 9 or 18 hole rounds, this is determined in each case by the handicap committee of the home club.

It should be noted:

  • NEW! All players can play one RPR round worldwide

  • NEW! The player's counter must have an ÖGV master handicap of +54.0 or better and a membership in a recognized golf club.

  • Pros are not eligible as counters.

  • An RPR score is only valid if the player has registered at the secretary's office before the start of the round. The club must record the following data in advance:
    a) Date of the round
    b) Name of the player
    c) name and handicap of the teller
    d) number of holes to be played
    e) color of the counting tees to be played from.

  • The scorecard signed by the player and the counter must be submitted to the match management immediately after the completion of the RPR round.
